Learning is key to growth. And, the motivation to learn can wane over time. I've been researching ways to keep up the momentum. Here's what I've learned that might be helpful for you:
Why is learning important?
You must have heard the term "Neuroplasticity" of the brain. It is a scientific term that means that the brain is malleable; it can rewire itself. Learning not only strengthens existing neurons but also helps create new connections. The article at the link below explains the physiological and chemical processes involved in learning.
What does this mean in simple terms?
Your brain gets better at learning new things the more opportunities you give it.
Different parts of the brain work together more effectively
Your ability to recall information improves
How do you stay motivated?
Remember Why asking WHY matters?
It's crucial to start by asking yourself, "Why do I want to learn?" Understanding your "why" provides a compelling reason to keep going. If you haven't yet pinpointed your motivation, consider discussing it with someone you trust to gain clarity.
Here are a few tips to remain motivated:
Start small: You'll see "steps" all across my blogs. It is very important to break down goals into manageable steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Use the right tracking tools to encourage positive reinforcement
Explore microlearning / byte-sized learning apps. I use Imprint, which does a very good job at creating visuals which make learning fun (see examples below)

What do you take back from here?
Like most of my blogs, I'll leave you with a couple of questions:
What have you wanted to learn?
Why haven't you started OR, why haven't you maintained momentum?
What can you do NOW to get back on track?
Happy learning!
